I bear my scars
As a badge of honor

My pain
Is a crown,
my fear, a crescent

I carry my battle
On my lips

And my shadows,
In my eyes

I will wander when lost
And whisper in silence

I will never regret
And never undo

I am more than my scars
bigger than my body
Larger than my dream

Aged beyond my years
Wrinkles line my mind

Yet so small
The dream so little

The future
So unknown

"Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less." - Marie Curie

"Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change." - Stephen Hawking

"Not all those who wander are lost." - J. R. R. Tolkien

"A moral being is one who is capable of reflecting on his past actions and their motives - of approving of some and disapproving of others." - Charles Darwin

"Justice is to be found only in imagination." - Alfred Nobel

"No one is dumb who is curious. The people who don't ask questions remain clueless throughout their lives." - Neil deGrasse Tyson

"Rational thoughts never drive people's creativity the way emotions do." - Neil deGrasse Tyson

"I am just a child who has never grown up. I still keep asking these 'how' and 'why' questions. Occasionally, I find an answer." - Stephen Hawking

"We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn't want to meet." - Stephen Hawking

"Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new." - Albert Einstein

What do all our greatest minds have in common? They refused to grow up. They never stopped asking why, and never grew out of their imaginations.

Fill the spaces in between
put a mirror before me
As I see the world in tunes
In paintings, in pictures

As I see the truth of demons
And the lies of Gods

Open my eyes
And widen my mind

Broaden my horizons
Break preconceived notions

Tell me I know nothing
There is still much to learn

Let me climb, let me fall
Climb towards you

Until I’m equal

My teacher, my lover, my friend
The mountains we climbed
the falls we’ve faced

Push me to the edge,
don’t worry,
I’ll build bridges
I’ll hold your hand

Until it’s my turn to push
and yours to build

Undefined,
a shadow rested
on your shoulders

Smiles
ran down
your spine

Tear ducts
every drop
exhausted

A silent gasp
escaped her

Another beauty
for the history books.

Candles
silently

Extinguished

Witness
of these violent
delights

Birds whispered
my last lullaby

in minor.

This life, a work of fiction

Walk away, free will with you

Hush, now listen
To the voices

In our heads

Whisper, scream

Tell them its real

Tell them its real

A dream within a dream

A nightmare within me

Destructive waves
of friction

A world that tastes
like fiction

Take me with you

Through the storm
In a desert of smiles

Past changes

Stepping on glass

Breathing fear, like  sand

Is this life?

As hope begins to shatter

Let it burn you

Let it take you

Blow away, my dear

For underneath
hope might still carry

If we dare seek it

If we dare open that door

is it worth risking it all?

I just can’t stop
Cant let go

Nothing ever compared

To seeing water
in the desert

Join us
A whisper
from depths
unknown

see us
a silent
demise

keys
to pianos
no one
plays

soft
my darling
whisper
as clouds
swallow us
and taste
of rain
consumes
us

Listen
darling
softly
as the
silence
enters

and the echoes
follow.

And darkness

consumed

us all

Shattered moonlight

caressed us

Through

the broken

glass

I saw us.

As a child I feared fire
Although that is all I am
Was it passion

Or destruction

From which I ran?

Let me burn

As I run

As I crumble
As I crack
As I explode
Engulf me, become me

Let me burn

I am fire, I am charred
I am fire, I am hurt
I am fire, I will burn
